During the day the sun charges the ECO Wedge's battery giving it the power it needs to work after dark. The ECO Wedge's motion sensor starts detecting movement as soon as it gets dark. In the morning the ECO Wedge turns off automatically and begins charging ready for the night ahead. Once turned on the ECO Wedge is fully automatic, but it can be turned off completely at any time using the supplied activation pin.

The ECO Wedge XT motion light is among the easiest solar lights to set-up because the unit is completely self-contained and there is no separate solar panel. The ECO Wedge is quick and easy to install with no DIY skills required. Please note that the ECO Wedge must be installed outside in an unshaded location to work to its full potential.

The ECO Wedge is among the most waterproof solar lights currently available and carries an IP64 waterproof rating. The ECO Wedge is designed to withstand all the elements and within reason can be installed in exposed locations.
